RENN HAUS spent the day at Bradenton Raceway with the Mercedes Benz Club of Tampa running our 2004 Mercedes Benz E55 in the quarter mile.
At our benchmark run we had this E55 in its stock setup and ran at best 13.2 seconds at 105mph.
After we completed Phase III of our tuning and modification this E55 included a supercharger pulley, intake, larger throttle body, custom headers, custom mid-pipes as well as ECU and transmission tuning. ….all for under $15,000.00.
So off we went to the Raceway again to see what we have accomplished with our modifications.
It was our expected goal was to get down to at least 12.5 seconds and maybe 12.2 seconds.
Our first run of the day produced a 12.04 quarter at 114.46mph! That was 1.16 seconds faster than our stock run.
That is a HUGE improvement over stock. Later we ran the 11. 536 at 120.53 mph.
Our 0 to 60 time for the ¼ mile was a blistering 2.94 seconds!
